He usually keeps his hair messy or brushed back and always wears t-shirts and jeans. There are instances where he wears tighter shirts, and has worked out a little to give himself more toned arms. Personality: Caden may seem like a serious person most of the time with his philosophical remarks, but he has a deep sense of devotion and cares for his family and his friends extensively. Ever since he was young, he had to deal with the inexplicable knowledge that popped into his mind. On one hand, it made certain classes of his like biology much easier, but his ability quickly labeled him as an oddball boarding on nerdiness. Caden tries not to let any sort of negative remark bother him, but it is difficult when it comes from a family member. Now, he simply takes the knowledge he receives in stride. Nonetheless, he is generally outgoing and looks forward to meeting new people, though he chooses his friends carefully. Once he allows a person into his life, Caden is a sympathetic ear when they need it or a reassuring hug. He has no problems with friendly affection to everyone he knows, though not all of them like him touching them. As the oldest of nine, he spends a considerable time nuturing his youngest sisters. Most of his sisters are a bit distant with him, as he likes completely different things than they do, but gets along very well with his oldest sister, Caitlin, and younger sister Cara-Jane. Caden tells them nearly everything that happens in his life and they provide his emotional support at home. He likes to crack jokes with anyone who would listen, though he isn't always as funny as he hopes he is. He may be easygoing at times, but has a decided lack of motivation and prefers to lounge around the place. The thought of being a banker like his father makes him sick to his stomach, and Stephan consistantly tells him to get a decent job. When frustrated, Caden tries to escape to go off and think, remaining distant from the person who bothers him for a while. Depression makes him more clingy than he is to begin with. History: Caden was born on March 1st, 1980 in Sydney, Australia to Stephan and Mary McCall. When he was two, Mary gave birth to his first sister Caitlin. He spent time playing with his sister when they were little, but by the time Caley arrived a year after and Camilla two years after that, everything became much busier and scheduled. His parents made sure that the children had plenty of activities to do outside of school and forced him to attend sports activities he did not like. Though his clairvoyancy allowed Caden to talk at an early age with little difficulty, but learning how to read was a more important and memorable event for him. His mother happened to be reading a bedtime story to Caitlin and Caden wandered over to join them and look at the fun pictures in the book. It was then that he realized Mary spoke the symbols on the page. He blinked, and he recognised the written word 'cat' just as his mother said it. He couldn't believe it! He was so proud for being able to do something so grown up. After a couple of minutes, he was able to comprehend a full sentence and read it aloud to the two of them. Shocked but proud, Mary spent the time before he went to sleep reading with Caden, which he enjoyed very much. At eight, his clairvoyant ability made it difficult for him to fit in with other people in school, and he began to ask questions about the knowledge he received to his father, who soon tired of it and got on his nerves. Cara-Jane was born in the meanwhile and it became Caden's responsibility to watch her when his mother went out of the room for an extended period of time. As she grew older, he and Caitlin started to take care of her and as a result, the girl hardly left their sides. The age difference between Caden and his other sisters did not help them become any closer. After the age of eight, Caley and Camilla were more egotistical than him and they always thought they knew best. They asked him to help them with their homework, though, and on several occasions asked him to join their girly activities, but he bored them so much with random facts that they soon tired of spending time with him. His relationships with his three younger sisters were better, and he sometimes was able to hang out with them. Being the oldest meant that Stephan continually insisted for Caden to be strong and watch over his sisters, but they turned out to be so independant that they didn't need Caden's help most of the time. He and Caitlin were required to be in charge when their parents weren't around, but it was only Caitlin with her incessantly loud and bossy ways who was able to take control. Caden had a considerable amount of chores and always had to help his sisters and mother with anything heavy. Responsibility wore him down, but he bore the brunt of it without any complaints. The pencils he owed, however, told a different story. The start of puberty proved to be stressful as he was so sensitive, a couple of his classmates continously called him a girl and bullied him a little. To cope, he became more rebellious and dragged Caitlin around with him. The two of them became closer and almost inseparable, though that fact did not help him make friends during junior high. Finding two friends in the math club, Caden found school more enjoyable as he also joined the band. His mother insisted that he needed a creative output and so Caden experimented with several instruments until he found one that he liked best. The flute became one of his favorites and the one he chose because the sound emitted from it was so pure and clear. Playing it and listening to himself play also relaxed him, something essential to have as he dealt with all his responsibilities. Graduation arrived and Stephan pressured Caden to join the family business as a banker. The idea strongly did not appeal to him, so Caden tried to find something completely different. Luckily, he stumbled across an opening at a record store and continued to work there for several years. Two years before the virus arrived, he decided to try his luck doing stand up comedy at a local club. It was there that he saw a young man named Adair Fallon perform and brought down the house. Impressed, Caden gathered his courage to go over to him and say hello. The two of them began talking and soon found that they both shared a love-obsession for music and possessed special abilities. They found a flat together after a half a year of friendship and Caden grew accustomed to having Adair as a stable fixture in his life. The virus hit and soon after, Adair received a letter from his brother and sister about Elysium, and Caden thought that it was a good idea to take his family along with him and Adair.
